I never expected to receive an inheritance from an Aunt that I hadn’t seen in over ten years but life has a way of throwing curve balls at me.

Packing all my stuff and moving across the country wasn’t on my plans for this year but the chance to move further away from my toxic ex and into a huge house on the coast was too good to pass up.

As big as the house is, roommates seemed like a logical way to pay the bills. It’s not like I needed the four bedrooms on the third floor of the house when I had the whole second floor to myself.

What I didn’t count on was falling for each of my new roommates.

Marcus’s grumpy snark and fear of cat decor. Toby’s sweet nature and amazing hugs. Reed’s quiet competence, or how great Zac looks working at the lighthouse while I’m Mangazing.

It all feels too good to be true and maybe it is. There are some that don’t want me here, those that think my inheritance should have been theirs, and those that think I have no right to the new men in my life.

One of the many things that being a gamer girl has taught me is that all the little fights build up to a boss battle. And while fighting the boss is the most challenging, it always has the biggest rewards.

This is one game that I refuse to lose.
